In Jyotish, the soul contains all knowledge, but how much of that knowledge do you have access to?

See if your Lagna or Lagnesha is connected, by conjunction/lordship/Graha drishti or Rashi drishti, to one or more of these Grahas: Sun, Jupiter, Rahu, Ketu. All of these Grahas are associated with knowledge, as they relate in different ways to the fifth house principle of intelligence, discernment, and perception.

The Sun is often understood as a natural significator of the fifth house, representing clarity of perception, judgment, and the capacity for decisive understanding. Jupiter, as the primary kāraka of the fifth house, signifies wisdom, coherence, and the integration of knowledge into meaningful order.

Rahu, through its influence on amplification and unconventional pathways, can indicate an intense drive toward inquiry, research, and immersion in complex or obscure domains of knowledge. Ketu, depending on interpretive lineage and discussions of nodal rulership (including its association with Leo in certain systems), reflects a more refined, abstract, and intuitive form of cognition—often associated with precision, pattern recognition, and non-linear understanding.

Applying to Your Chart

When all of these Grahas are connected to the Lagna or Lagnesha through rāśi dṛṣṭi, it does not necessarily indicate omniscience, but rather broad access to different modes of knowledge and perception.

Graha dṛṣṭi tends to show forms of knowledge that become active or prominent during specific daśās or transits. Grahas placed in the Lagna often indicate innate cognitive tendencies present from birth, while Grahas connected to the Lagnesha describe knowledge acquired through life experience and interaction with the environment.

However, access to knowledge is not equivalent to realization or enlightenment. For deeper spiritual integration, the involvement of the Ātmakāraka is essential.
